ITALOMODERN 2
Architecture in Northern Italy 1946–1976
Italomodern 2 offers a sweeping survey of the architecture scene—and the attendant frictions and ruptures—in northern Italy from 1946 to 1976. Organized chronologically, the 132 projects are documented in photos, plans, and concise texts. With this second volume, a complement to Italomodern 1, Martin and Werner Feiersinger expand upon their research of Italian postwar architecture. Their thorough study of a rich and heterogeneous phase of architectural history has unearthed numerous little-known jewels.
First published in German in conjunction with the exhibition "Martin & Werner Feiersinger: Italomodern 2. Architektur in Oberitalien 1946–1976," shown at aut. architektur und tirol in Innsbruck (2015).
